Food is reasonably good and well priced. The burgers look fantastic and are perfectly cooked to temp. Unfortunately, they were surprisingly bland. Might do well to add something acidic to make the burgers less one dimensional. All in all, good but not memorable.

I placed an order online and received and email with my confirmation that said I would receive a follow up email with information on when it would be available. We waited for the email for about 10 minutes and when we didn't get it we tried to call 5 times. After 30 minutes and no answer or email, we decided to drive the restaurant to figure it out since we had already paid. In short, upon arrival we were told "they were slammed and it wasn't going to happen today." They were cordial but not sincerely apologetic and just refunded us our original purchase.

The Village Idiot is a local gem in Lexington's downtown restaurant area. I was extremely impressed by the cocktails, wine list, and fun menu. They had lovely, fresh mussels cooked in beer and a very tasty steak. The bread pudding was truly delicious and a great way to end a meal. I really enjoyed my meal here and would definitely visit again on another trip to Lexington.

Came upon this place quite by accident on a day trip to Lexington. Quite honestly we couldn't find anywhere else nearby that was open or sounded good. What a wonderful surprise. Great food and great beer. Bartender was very attentive and helpful in making food and drink selections.

The atmosphere and decor is amazing. The food I had was great but the menu is strange and very limited. The staff was very friendly but had to be extra apologetic when our parties' orders weren't taken properly. It seemed very unorganized. Every I went with (6 extra people) got their entrΓ©es before their appetizers and then I didn't get my food. I waited for 20 extra minutes. Then they charged me for 3. It was all corrected and the staff was very empathetic, but it kind of ruined my dinner. I will give it another shot because of their kindness, environment, and quality of food. However, I'll wait a bit to cool down.
