::TAMALES!! They make the tastiest & moistest tamales I've ever run across in Indiana (or neighboring states). I always knew I liked tamales. I had hope that there could be lots of flavor & that cardboard-dryness wasn't synonymous w tamale. Some places came close, but The Tamale Place blows all others out of the water.

::So good. We stopped in as we were driving through the area, based on reviews and the fact it was on the Food Network years ago. Worth going just a bit out of the way. Had two different tamales, one pork and one chicken. Both were very tasty. Chips were fresh and crunchy and went well with the quest sauce. Would recommend.

::This time, the chicken green sauce tamales were dry, not enough sauce. It would be good for the employees to smile now and then. Also, they should stop using foam plates. In general, all the others tamales are great!

::This place is awesome! They have a variety of different tamales along with several other dishes as well. I had the beef pablano w/cheese, and it was tasty. The price is fair considering the size and flavor of these tamales. So if you get more then one, plan on taking the rest home! The dining area is very small so to-go orders are recommended.
