  I think the food and cocktails are good. My only problem is with the slow serving by the wait-staff. My party waited a little too long for my taste for the food and it didn't seem like anyone was working at the time. I am not sure if it is a one time thing but that was the only problem.

  Me and my family of 7 enjoyed our dine in experience at the St James tonight. The waitress and hostess were extremely pleasant and FABULOUS with the kids. The bus staff was impeccably wonderful cleaning the table fast so the kids didn't wreck everything... it was BEST experience in a restaurant setting with 5 kids. And the food was delicious!

  The St. James has been a restaurant I have frequented for many years. The food, service and overall atmosphere has always been excellent. This review, however, is for above-and-beyond customer service. I stopped in for dinner last week and Thomas, one of the servers, recognized me and asked if I had lost a pair of gloves. I in fact had lost (or thought I had misplaced) a pair before Christmas. Sure enough, these gloves had been kept aside, and were returned to me. Thanks, Thomas. And welcome back, Lisette!

  The food was good. They had just opened the kitchen and were setting up for the day. They gave us a table to sit down right away and said that the kitchen would be open in 15 minutes. The food came fast and the service was great. It is one of the cleanest Irish Restaurant/Pubs I have been to on Long Island.
