::I had such a great initial appointment. Everything was clearly explained. Financing options available, which I greatly appreciated. X-rays and dental scanning were painless and fast. I had my questions and emails answered. And since it's May 2022, they are actually running a promo for the first few customers to get a Goby electric toothbrush, which was very nice. Now I just have to wait for my aligners and getting started with them. Excited to start my aligner journey and get a better smile once again (yes, I previously had braces and didn't wear my retainers). *****UPDATE ON EXPERIENCE as of 10/14/22***** If I could go back in time and do this whole experience over and NOT choose The Smile Store I would, especially since I am out of 3k for services that have not been completed. On 9/26/22 I was notified via email that "Candid would no longer be working with The Smile Store". This was a lie. I later found out it was The Smile Store that suddenly and quickly terminated their relationship with Candid Aligners in Texas and would only provide them to their Florida patients. There was no forewarning about this termination between the companies to their customers. Just "good luck" from The Smile Store. The following 2 weeks afterwards were and still are (as of 10/14/22) an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE. The Smile Store after multiple attempts to reach them via email and phone with long wait times, sometimes purposefully answering and hanging up, said to reach out to Candid and that the transition of my care would be handled by them. However, in Candid Aligners' Terms and Agreement, it clearly states that the practice/provider is responsible for the care of their patients and basically is a 3rd party. Last week I sent an email to the only emails I was given, the manager's email (which this week is no longer available per failed delivery attempt notification) and a concierge email that has yet to respond. As of now, I am stuck in my treatment with no support from The Smile Store nor have I been reached out to for options or even a refund for services not completed. If I was a patient in Florida, I would not recommend them at all and if I could give zero stars on this review I would. DO NOT USE THE SMILE STORE.

::Store was clean and I received professional, caring help at my appointment. I paid for the aligners the day of my appt and received a discount, so you might as well review the website and have a good idea of if you want to sign up or not before you go. It was a lot of $ to spend without a definite date I’ll receive my aligners. I would have liked to know I’d hear back in 2 business days, etc. and then would have felt it was 5 stars. The first hour visit is the only time in the process you actually go in to the store. I’ll update after I receive the aligner package and use the app for follow up visits.

::I had a lovely experience here! Everyone is so kind and understanding. Candid goes the extra mile for their customers from easing anxieties to offering water and goodie bags. Also, the 3D scanner is much easier than the putty that other invisible aligner companies require. I recommend paying Candid a visit for that reason alone. However, if you have reservations about going in person, I can say from experience, they will take care of you and walk you through the process in a positive manner.

::I saw an ad on social media for clear aligners with a location here in Austin. I browsed their website for more information and was intrigued. They had a promotional offer to come in and get a scan and a discount off of the price of the treatment plan. Scheduling online was easy, I came in and was greeted promptly. Covid protocols in place of course, and the office was bright and clean...very cheerful. Christina was my advisor and was wonderful. She did a great job walking me through the entire process and explained everything in great detail. She took her time and made sure any questions I had were answered or if anything was not clear that she explained it. Because it was such a good deal and the treatment is managed by an orthodontist and the whole process is very high tech and forward thinking, I decided to move forward with treatment. I'm looking forward to starting (it does take 5-7 days to receive the kit) and can't wait to see the results.

::The entire beginner's experience at the Candid Studio was the best! There is parking, in a nice area. I was greeted with professionalism and compassion from the moment I stepped in. Christina was my care specialist and did such a great job, knowing what she was doing, leaving me without any questions when I left. Not to mention the product itself, I am beyond excited to get started! The quality is outstanding for the extremely affording pricing.
