This place absolutely deserves 5 stars. They care about every detail, starting with the cows. All the way to the wonderfully thought through, random as hell ice cream choices. I had 5 scoops. I did not. Did too. Did..........

The downtown Screamery is equally as good as the Screamery on Speedway. I'm more likely to go to the Speedway Blvd. Screamery because of the parking. There is limited metered-parking on the fronting street. When I visited here, I was lucky to get street parking nearby. They've generally got the same flavors. One thing I noticed that was different was their stated re-use of materials for a part of their counter and other decorative pieces which I identify below in photos. To me, this speaks to the owners commitment to sustainability, which means something to me.

Delicious icecream. If you have an allergy - avoid the peanut ice creams and the ones directly surrounding the peanut ones. I had a mild reaction, but nothing my medicine couldnt deal with. I wish they'd keep the peanut ones together though. It would make life so much easier. I had the thin mint chocolate chip.

Visited here for the first time during an out of town trip. Ice cream was excellent and they have a variety of unique flavors. Atmosphere is cool/unique. Location is near other shops that are within walking distance. Will visit again next time I'm in town!

Basically flavored shards of ice. I don't understand why this is so well-reviewed. It's neat to make unique flavors, but the preparation itself is flawed. The flash freeze--as it says on their wall, 10 minutes spinning rapidly rather than a slow churn--results in large ice crystals. It's just poorly-prepared ice cream and it blows my mind that they are doing it that way on purpose. Save your money: having no ice cream at all is better than expecting ice cream and getting a chocolate snow cone. Look at the pictures on other reviews: the ice crystals are clearly visible.
