Beautiful in the springtime. I would suggest setting out a Japanese style hanami or picnic under the cherry blossoms in April... Bring warm clothes/blankets though!

Great place to enjoy the sunshine, the cherries make for great shade and plenty of benches to sit on. Although do not bring a hammock since it risks damaging the Cherry blossoms. It's gets really crowded when the flowers are blooming, so avoud planning your wedding to time up with the bloom

always a fantastic place to hang out! the cherry blossoms are beautiful in the spring. i recommend visiting the quad in the morning during the prime few weeks of the trees being in bloom because it can get crazy busy. really great grassy expanse for just sitting and reading, or throwing a ball or frisbee around.

The UW quad is a beautiful place. I visited this place on a Sunday evening to see the cherry blossoms. Was lucky to easily find a public parking spot (free on Sundays, I think it was on the 45th NE street, perpendicular to Wells Fargo) very close to a flight of stairs that lead to the quad area. It was very crowded (probably because it was a Sunday evening) but loved the ambience. Must visit place in March /April. Looks fairytale-like.

The UW campus quad is a very beautiful place when the cherry blossom trees are blooming. The area is lined with trees down both sides and it truly is a beautiful sight to see when at the top of the steps looking down into the area, or while standing under and among the trees. It was a bit chilly and cloudy today, I can imagine that the quad is even better when the sun is out and blue skies are showing. I do encourage seeing the trees bloom if you are in the university area.
