  rooms are very small. Service was great. Price was great (low) for it's great location. Free breakfast. Has no parking so you park 2 buildings over. Overall great experience! Really sad that they are going to shut it down since we just found it

  Run down hotel and very expensive. I will never stay here ever again, even if for free.

  This hotel is in downtown. Good location but the room is small, so is the bathroom. If you have any allergies to dust or whats so ever, do not choose this hotel. My friend had it, it was awful. Plus she woke up with a spider walking on her. It's an old hotel. Wasn't like the pictures i saw. Need renovation!! Won't recommend it.

  Location is great, and the room is clean, but the room is crazy small/claustrophobic. A single double bed, and I literally cannot lay my suitcase flat except awkwardly in the closet. No fridge, no microwave, and the breakfast is a continental breakfast (not a hot/cold breakfast buffet, the only hot item is coffee amd technically you can make toast). On the bright side, no bed bugs, or signs of former bed bugs. If you are coming to LA to eat out everyday, it's fine. But for people who work and are on a budget so make quick meals in the room, it's painful. broom

  When calling to reserve a room here, we made a point to confirm that the spacious Standard Queen room that photos on their website boasted would actually be what we would be paying for. The representative, Jose, told us that yes, our room would look exactly as the photo online. When we arrived, the only parking available was the parking garage adjacent to the hotel, which totaled $18 a night, making the actual cost of a night's stay at the Milner Hotel, this much more. After paying for a parking spot, we hauled our luggage to the front desk and requested to see the room that we would be paying over a hundred dollars for. There was a guy at the desk who said his name was Jose, and we mentioned that we had talked to him over the phone about confirming the room size- with which he claimed that there was another Jose who worked there. It was then established that the photos of the standard rooms on their official website were actually of the handicap rooms, thereby Milner Hotel is lying to its customers and leading them to believe that the room they are paying $150+ to stay at is larger than the size of a closet. We went up to look at the room, and sure enough, you could touch the other wall from the end of the bed- a toddler probably couldn't take more than three steps to scale the entire room. It was a joke. The people at the front desk made no move to offer us a bigger room or apologize for the deceit of their company. We walked out and ended up without a room for the night and a bill for $6.00 for the parking spot we used for 20 minutes to find out about how much of a scam the Milner Hotel is.
