  For the price, I was underwhelmed. It is a historic hotel. The rooms are small, but the fees are large. Valet parking (only option) is $59 a night, bottle of water is $4.50. The frig is stocked with overpriced alcoholic options. No in room ability to heat water even if you brought your own tea bag. There was complementary Starbucks coffee in the lobby, but no tea. Buffet breakfast was merely adequate for $23.

  The hotel is beautiful. Unfortunately I had an issue that could have been resolved before it became a problem but I was given the runaround by the front desk. The issue was that I was given a room that already had a guest. I knew about this because when I was given my key, I asked if I was given a roommate (it was a fundraising event) and they said I was. I told them that I was w/my family and I was supposed to have a room alone so that I could be w/them and they said that it was not on them and would not assist me. To make this longer, I went to the room and sure enough, someone was in there and I was outside w/all of our luggage and the family. Anyways, the issue was eventually resolved but w/out any type of compensation (like a complimentary can of soda or whatever). We were delayed for close to an hour over something that could have been resolved in 15 minutes. The hotel is beautiful though.

  Excellent hotel establishment. As a returning guest, we were upgraded to a superior room. Innocent, the concierge, was up to date with cultural events in the capital. The staff goes out of the way to assist in every way they can. One afternoon, it was raining heavily as I was leaving the hotel when a front desk agent quickly offered me an umbrella for my trip.

  Wonderful friendly staff and lovely spacious rooms. A touch of luxury when traveling and within walking distance to restaurants, supermarkets, sights and the White House. A pleasure to have a base before going out exploring after a conference. We had a three day conference here and the food was excellent, beautifully catered for and a great space for over a hundred attendees. Everything was professional, well prepared and I couldn't not fault the staff or hotel. A great experience overall.

  It was an amazing hotel!! The staff was very professional and very nice, always a hello sir and have a great day sir as I was in and out. Staff was very able to answer any questions I had. The room I had was marvelous a nice view of downtown D.C. Super comfortable bed, and wonderful amenities in the room. By far th e best hotel I've ever had the pleasure of staying in.
