  Very disappointed. Went here for happy hour one time for the $3 dogfish Head ipas. Was ok. Thought I would try their lunch special the next day. Bad mistake... I ordered wings. Unfortunately they messed up my order several times. They did give me a coupon for Thursday lunch that would be worth around $2.50. However, they did still charge me for $8 of wings that never got delivered. Coupon is going in the trash!

  We’ve been regulars at Thursday night trivia for a year, but recently The Local has started allowing giant parties of 20 to reserve tables for Thursday happy hour and trivia. I called at 11am when The Local opened to reserve our table for 4 but 2 parties of 20 had booked the entire bar. No open tables, I was told we could stand around. It’s a shame because it’s the only happy hour trivia in the city. Please stop allowing giant parties to book the entire bar, make it first come first serve and for trivia, and make the giant parties split into smaller teams so everyone has a chance.

  This hole in the wall dive bar (the good kind) is an oasis in an otherwise franchise-heavy downtown Charlotte. Waitress was genuinely friendly and chatty. Dart boards and an array of mules made a memorable, welcome escape from a day of Christmas markets. Their bar food was good enough to convince my Southern Belle tour guide to forget dinner elsewhere.

  My favorite lunch spot uptown hands down. Daily specials for tacos, burgers, chicken sandwiches, wings and entertaining trivia every Wednesday. The service is 10/10, the atmosphere is perfect for a relaxing day drink/lunch and its a great spot to grab a drink at night.

  This place is a favorite for me and my coworkers. With daily specials for $5 or less, u cant go wrong with this place. Not to mention the food is DELICIOUS! You must try the sweet potato tots! Simply amazing.
