  I loved this hotel. At this point, I've stayed in quite a few hotels in the Houston Metro Area and this is one of my favorites. It's like staying in a museum. The furniture matches the history in this hotel. It's stately and the rooms are spacious and well decorated. Good job

  Who the hell is writing these reviews? I just attempted to make a reservation at the Lancaster and got an answering machine! And then it's a message indicating that this and that and the next thing appears to be closed for renovations but my they appreciated my patience. This is a really horrible first impression and I hope this place is closed.

  As soon as you walk into the Lancaster, you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. The contemporary touches are well blended with the original architecture so the hotel definitely has that pre-war feel to it. Our room was a bit small but nicely appointed.

  Stayed here a couple times and had issues both times, but they were always happy to fix anything for me. My wife loves the free Fiji water. Good locations across the street from Jones hall and just a few blocks walk to our favorite pizza place, Frank's. Their little restaurant on the first floor is pretty decent, but pricey, if you don't want to leave for food. The breakfast is hit or miss depending on the day. If you don't want to walk their shuttle service is super friendly and quick, and stays out pretty late. Favorite place to stay when going to see the Houston Symphony.

  Visited the hotel for one night. Paid ahead of time and check in was smooth. Valet parking only as is standard for most downtown hotels. Valet drivers were helpful and nice, you can text from the room a few min before you need your car and they tell you when the car will be ready. Impressive interior, well maintained and great overall feel that you are in a quality hotel. Free breakfast and paper delivered to your room if you like. Our room had a king bed and was very clean. Bathrobes, towels and sheets were all very comfortable and clean. Large TV on wall and standard cable channels. Room was seemingly quiet even though we were right next to elevator. Our room was rather small, as we got a standard sized room and this is an older hotel, but was fine for my wife and me. Only small gripe is that the shower head was very aggressive, pre low flow I guess. Would definitely stay again.
