::They were the nicest people, but as we got there early and were among the first to board, we encouraged to go to the head of the train. We went through two charming rail cars and into a car whose original interior was totally gone. It was furnished with waiting room chairs from the eighties and modern office chairs. We sat next to two carpet sweepers, a small box of garbage and an electrician’s volt meter, just lying on the dirty blue carpet. We love trains and the Rail Museum, so we were really looking forward to this. We didn’t enjoy it at all.

::For the cost, you get what you pay for. The trains are so old, SO filthy, we couldn't even see out of our windows. At least the fare went towards the OR Rail Heritage Museum. The employees were great. The "waiting area" was like a sauna of sardines people were packed in so tight. Never. Ever again. But at least we know that now! If it weren't for the employees (on the train) & the beautiful decor on the outside of the locomotive, I would have given it a 2, if it weren't for NOT sitting in the filthy brown chairs, and having to sit in the last car in office chairs I would have given it a 1.

::This was a fun annual event for my family. Our kids love it, friendly staff. A photo with Santa and candy canes. Plus seeing the Daylight steam locomotive and hearing the whistle is an exciting joy!

::Over priced ($25.50 a ticket) for really a short ride with a short visit from santa. Along with that their website is awful and their customer service is the worst. Be very careful buying tickets, no exchanges and no refunds. Their website is set up to be very tricky and hopefully scam you into buying the wrong tickets. Guess what happens if you do buy the wrong ones? You get an email saying you need to buy more and it's their policy. This is supposed to be about the kids and the holidays, but seems more like a way for them to scam more money out of the public. Will not be returning in the future.

::You should research the history of this train before you ride it, and understand how much work it takes to keep this train running. This is so much more authentic than the diesel holiday train rides.
