  This was an interesting place, worth a stop, but not my favorite. We went when it was closed, so did not have a chance to chat with anyone or get the complete story of its conception. I would go again when it was open to learn a little more of the history.

  Als touristische Attraktion nicht ganz nachvollziehbar. Die Lage macht ein eher mulmiges Gefühl, da rundherum alles verfallen ist. Es unter eher nach einem Flohmarkt an.

  Easy to find. Must see. Park on the street and walk along the street. Many art installations!

  I’ve frequented this spot for years and love watching it change. Heidelberg is a part of Detroit history that I cherish and look forward to visiting a couple of times a year. I’ve never felt unsafe walking through this attraction until recently and kind of feel the need to recommend that you just drive through it these days. The locals have always been eccentric but kind to me in the past. In my last visit, a woman who claimed to live in one of the Heidelberg homes approached myself and my group pretty aggressively demanding donation money and actively followed us all the way back to our vehicle screaming insults the entire way when we didn’t have anything to spare. We were also aware of a man scoping out our car when we went to leave. This has been the only negative experience I’ve had here but it definitely stuck with me. I still cherish this location and love this work of art with my entire heart but I definitely recommend that you don’t walk around here without a group and don’t let your vehicle out of sight.
