  Been here for a few concert events. Drinks are strong. Staff is friendly. Rooftop is a nice escape from the heat of a packed event. Lots of pre-game food and bar options in the area.

  The show was cool the booze was cheap. Just cant give it 5 stars because i asked the guy if he could not write on my hand and insisted. I pay to hear the music i like and have a job i dont want people looking at my hand on a thursday night

  Gateway is a cool space and it’s accessible from public transit, decent rates for renting the space for shows. Recently had a very bad experience in booking one of their floors for a show. I booked and confirmed the space two months in advance and one week before the show the Gateway dropped my bill because they decided to book a bigger party where they knew they’d make more money instead. I understand that they’ve gotta make money, we all do, but to go back on an agreement with such a short amount of notice is inconsiderate and they were pretty rude to me when I was upset about it too. Won’t be coming here or booking here again and will suggest my friends do the same. Can’t recommend it as a space for DIY music since you’ll never know if you’ll actually get the space even with a written confirmation.
