  Coming off a cruise we had two days to enjoy New Orleans. After reading reviews we chose The Frenchman Hotel. Dripping with New Orleans charm and a location to die for we were elated to stay here. We are in our 60's and were aware of the noise and crowds on Frenchman Street but it added to the ambiance. The music on the roof was just a bonus!

  Very beautiful, awesome rooftop bar. Great stay. Had some bugs, but that can be expected somewhere with such history.

  Somewhat quaint hotel in great area but don’t book if you want to sleep before 2 a.m. Music is deafening both from house bar until 11 or later and then the bar across the street, breakfast is bagels, muffins, cereal, etc. Water good and hot in rooms. Security is iffy at best. Noise at night is intolerable!!

  Cosy and hotel on the eastern side of the French Quarter. Room a good size and clean with a very comfortable double bed. Close to the city streetcar terminus. Noisy with jazz music all around till midnight each night giving it a very authentic New Orleans experience and flavour. Staff all friendly. Breakfast available but sparse. Good value for money hotel.

  If you're talking about going out and enjoying the street this place is great to stay up all night. Prices are okay rooms are okay. It's old. And it's loud so sleeping before 2-3 am isn't possible. Check out the rooftop bar too. Parking sucks.
