  I can't believe I didn't write a separate review of this place after we found them following the abysmal way the "people" at Timeless "Elegance" in Wallkill, much closer to us, drove us away without even knowing what we wanted them to do for us. Steve has done three things for us: the sofa cushions that originally brought us there, the headboard in our master bed, and most recently the armrest covers on the same sofa. Each time what has come back has been better than the original. I should add that Steve called us about the armrest covers, something we had sort of let slip our minds, letting us know that the fabric that matched the cushions might be available. We came in and looked, but unfortunately it turned out not to be. However, he helped us find this red velvet that there was almost enough of left, and not only is it a lot more durable (96,000 double-rub), it actually makes a nice intermediation between the throw pillows and the cushions. One thing that really impresses me when you go there that you think wouldn't: the location. It's kind of out of the way, behind an auto repair shop on a side street. And when you go in there is absolutely no space set up with the customer in mind. You sort of have to stand around between all this stuff in a minimally lit room with unpainted cinder block walls talking to Steve and looking at fabrics from the books. But you know what? That's a good thing IMO. It tells me that he's all about the work, and that the customer's money will be going as much as possible into getting the best materials available and doing the best work possible with them. You shouldn't be paying the extra overhead for your restorer's fancy, brightly-lit carpeted showroom in a commercial strip on a busy arterial road, not when it's about *your* furniture looking good. And it is. And it does.

  I had three tough, but well-loved Flexsteel mission-style pieces that, after over two decades of family wear, needed some wood refinishing as well as complete re-upholstery. Steve's shop had all the skills, and skillful craftsmanship, to bring these pieces back to life for decades more use. They are easy to communicate with and straightforward to work with too. I'm happy I found them, and would recommend them to anyone, especially those with more complicated projects.

  I brought my hope chest ,which was a very special gift made by my dad 30 years ago. I was heartbroken because it needed some repairs after standing the test of time. Like me a few scars from a past life. I brought it to Steve, and what a beautiful job!!! They made it just as beautiful as the day my dad gave it to me!! A beautiful job done!!

  So impressed with the excellent quality of workmanship by Finisher's Touch. Steve and team transformed the living room furniture we love and the craftsmanship shows. Very fair pricing, delivered on time and great to work with. Will use Finisher's Touch again.

  I had frozen pipes burst and water damage to my beautiful Stanley dining room furniture in February 2016. The Finisher's Touch did amazing work to restore it and make it lovely again. They were reliable, timely, answered all my questions and returned phone calls. I would highly recommend them and they would be my first call if I needed anything done again.
