The wine and beer selection is pretty great in price. The beer selection is mediocre. The cocktails are overpriced. The jazz was nice. A nice volume for chatting over. When my husband and I arrived we sat at an empty seating area and then were quickly told to move by an employee, because the area was reserved. I kindly told the woman that there was no "reserved" sign in this section as I had seen in another open section. We were then forced to move to two bar seats where I was facing a giant black pole and could not even see the bartenders. After sitting for a bit, I watched a few other small groups enter the bar only to also be moved to an awful seating area while leaving many reserved sections open, only to never be filled The hostess far below average at her position. She was constantly forcing people to awful seats when she could have seated them in a comfortable section. The bar was only ever 75% full. It was as if she was saving those reserved sections for the Queen, who of course will never show up. She was just holding out hope.

This is a pretty cool find!! Live jazz music starting at 8pm, with a “speakeasy” atmosphere... velvet chairs, half circle booths, etc. We weren’t sure if there was a dress code at first, but people of all kinds were here— slightly an older crowd. Had a decent menu selection, we only had the cheese plate and crepe brulle, which were mediocre, expected fancier cheeses, but it is what it is. Drinks took a long time (15-20min?) to come, and it wasn’t even that crowded yet. Overall though was a good find, and would probably come back.

I cannot believe last night was my first time there. The Crimson Room has a laid-back atmosphere, live jazz music, and the drinks were outstanding. I ordered the dealers choice and was genuinely amazed at the drinks I received. I will definitely return!

What a hidden gem!!! While visiting Larimer St, we didn't know where to go and then stumbled upon the Crimson Room. Behind the door you walk down the steps and voila! Welcome to the jazz club. The decor was impressive and the bar was beautiful. Luckily we arrived just as the band was about to start and took a seat next to the stage. The bar was empty on a Tuesday night. Would love to come here on a day when they are playing Frank Sinatra-y style jazz. Only bad thing was the Old Fashioned was really really sweet. Oh yeah, and be careful with the bathrooms. There are two doors- one with a picture of a chicken, and one of a cat. Took me longer than it should have to figure out which door is the women's.
