  Super cool place to see a band play. Good size. Not too big. Not too small. Good sound. Cool atmosphere. Good prices on drinks. Parking is a little rough. But once you get it. Who cares.

  I always have the best time here. The drinks are always perfect. In my opinion it's the best venue in town for REAL music. The crowd is always there for a good time. In all my times there hasn't been anyone getting out of hand. The staff is friendly. All-in-all my favorite place in the distillery district.

  This place exceeded my expectations. I saw Washed Out here and it was one of the best shows I've home to. The prices were reasonable, especially the tickets. The beer selection is great with a variety of wheat to local favorites. It's what you expect from an intimate show and the venue feels very homelike. It's not far from the main road and the parking is not bad. If you were camping like I was, it's not far from the Kentucky horse Park and main dining places. Overall, I'd recommend this place to come and relax.

  Quite the large bar if I may say so myself. You may notice the notorious stain glass tree in some photos from around Lexington, as it illuminates just over head of the performance stage. There, they put on live performances by some of the best bands in Lex. If you get hungry on your way out after a long night of drinking don't worry, there's a food truck parked right outside next to the fire pit area in their front yard. I don't personally buy drinks here, so I don't know how good their drinks are.. but I'd imagine that with all the publicity they get, they'd surely have some good selections. Drive safe kids

  The Burl has a nice atmosphere and good friendly staff which complements their venue in an interesting area of Lexington, near Manchester Music Hall and adjacent to the old distillary district where you can get a great pizza. The interior of the building is visually pleasing with a lovely stained glass window above the stage. Listening to the bands was a cozy intimate affair. The cocktails were well made and reasonably priced with bartenders willing to be inventive when asked for a recommendation. A hard downside is the inside bathroom. Two toilets in the ladies room is not enough for a 300 capacity venue with drinks. Both toilets clogged early and flooded the bathroom through the floor drain. Yuck. One toilet was missing a seat. No paper towels. No toilet paper. Consider updating and expanding the bathrooms. Perhaps there were other accommodations I missed.
