Although it was an unusual context for a hotel (top of an office tower) and a bit tricky to find initially, my teen and I found the experience quite delightful--riding the elevator with executives on our way up to our comfy privileged retreat. Incredible views of the city--sink into a comfy chair by the window and just drink it in day and night. Super quiet room stocked with quality snacks and drinks for a fee if you are so inclined. Very comfortable bed, right next to anything you could need (LaSalle/VanBuren Orange Line stop right outside). Friendly helpful staff.

We arrived at Chicago on 4/11/2018 at 10pm due to flight delays. They cancelled our reservation saying that their computer ā€œautomaticallyā€ charges my credit card if I donā€™t arrive by six pm. None of this was on our reservation agreement. They didnā€™t call or email and just simply handed our room to someone else saying my credit card didnā€™t go through. I called my credit card company and they said it was fine but sometimes ā€œcard not presentā€ transactions may need additional verification. We were left stranded with 2 infants and had to pay $600 for another local hotel. My question is why this hotel never contacted me about the decline? Why they have to do this the very last minute? If they need the room prepaid, it should be part of the contract but thereā€™s no such verbiage on the agreement. Just a few days prior to my arrival the hotel also emailed me that they have no cribs and they canā€™t put a roll away in my room either. After speaking to a few local hotels, it turned out thereā€™s a major conference going on locally and all hotels are booked up. My conclusion is rather simple: 1. Hotel discriminated against kids/family/tourist. Theyā€™d rather give to businessmen who can join their athletic club. 2. Hotel negligently cancelled my reservation without any due diligence. 3. They likely sold my room to someone else for a much higher price. Update: Despite the guest relations managerā€™s CLAIM that they tried to contact me, I have no missed calls, no voice mails and no emails in my inbox EXCEPT a cancellation notice. So their CLAIM of having contacted me a is a blatant lie. Even if they did ā€” why do it the last minute? Thatā€™s gross negligence on the hotelā€™s part. Please donā€™t even bother dealing with those greedy lairs that sold my room to someone for twice the price. Disgusting practice!

We stopped at Buckingham Hotel past weekend form 04/28/2018 till 04/29/2018 and we were really impressed of the spectacular view from our room, but one very disappointing thing was happened after a check-out. 2 hours after check-out we realized that we forgot one personal thing in our hotel room, exactly it was a musical colomn, so we just came back to take it. The girl a reception just told us that the cleaning women didnā€™t find anything in our room and we can not back and check by person. Only after third time she allowed me to go with her and to check the room. I didnā€™t find anything in the room, and only after my question maybe our musical column was stollen she excidenlty remembered that they have ā€œlost and foundā€ in the hoteland we have to check there. And itā€™s miracle, it was there under a lots of other things. Itā€™s really was a cheat, and we were really disappointed.

Perfect location for doing business at the Willis tower (4 mins walk). View from rooms is stunning and it was quiet up on the 40th floor! Rooms clean and well maintained. Bathrooms not the newest but waterpressure and hot water available all times. Restaurant on 3rd floor offered nice food at reasonable prices. Lounge was fine to spend some time/relax. Friendly/helpful staff at reception. Luggage storage on last day went well.

By far the nicest rooms and facilities, especially for the price and location. Everything downtown was an easy walk, the staff are helpful and friendly, amd the room and athletic center were exactly like the pictures. I highly recommend this place.
