  We had the best anniversary night here last July! It was amazing, and the staff was so helpful and Friendly. The bed was so comfy too. They had a gift and note saying “happy anniversary” waiting for us in the room too. Such an awesome treat great service!

  We had an enjoyable stay for the weekend. Our room on the 9th floor had comfortable beds and a decent amount of space. We had no view on our side of the hotel which is unfortunate but not really under their control. There was either no bathroom fan or it wasn't working but otherwise the bathroom was reasonably modern and clean. The lobby was a great place to hang out and talk, or just to sit and read. Where many hotels have spartan empty space in the lobby, the Benson lobby is filled with comfortable retro seating. The elevator call system was being repaired or renovated during our visit -- not the most beautiful job, but understandable.

  Nice hotel in a good location. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great little local coffee stand just outside and close to food truck pods. The elevators suck and you may wait a long time. No pool.

  Fabulous old hotel with a stunning lobby draped in paneled wood and old elegance. The staff was wonderful with turndown service each nice (chocolates on the bedside, of course). Rooms are comfortable and the location can't be beat; many of the best places to go are walkable or easily reached by getting on the MAX at a nearby stop. Small lounge off the lobby (The Palm Court) is a great place to unwind after a long day if you want music and refreshment, and the chairs in front of the gorgeous lobby fireplace are a great place to get some reading done. If you like old architecture from when hotels were built with elegance and class, this is right up your alley.

  There was only one elevator functioning when we stayed.... That made checking out on time a little difficult because it would fill up before reaching our floor. Rooms were modernized, cozy and bright, bed was firm and comfy memory foam. City views were good. There wasn't much bathroom counter space, so that was a little awkward. Our shower didn't get "hot" just luke warm. Bar was great and staff was friendly.
