::Nikki was incredible! She made me feel so comfortable. My appointment was less than 30 mins and the work was flawless. I have been waxing for years the kind used here (Starpil) is by far the best. I definitely recommend to anyone looking for a 5 Star spa experience on a 2 Star budget.

::Although Leah was new, she was extremely knowledgeable, she knew my skin better than I did! She was gentle with my skin and very informative. She was also easy to talk to and not pushy with their products. Definitely going back. Definitely recommend Leah to anyone. Also, free parking in the garage behind the spa, and a very clean and relaxing environment.

::I went to the Adara Spa for a facial with Monica and it was such a relaxing experience. Not only did she provide advice on my concerns, she also sent me home with a detailed regimen based on my skin type. Monica really knows her information!! I'm telling all my friends about the exceptional service at this spa. I can't wait to schedule my next facial :)

::WORST SPA EXPERIENCE EVER!! I received an offer for a free service of either lashes or waxing at Adara and scheduled an appointment for a lash lift. Prior to the appointment I emailed the spa saying that I had received the offer and had scheduled an appointment to use it. They said, Great! We look forward to taking care of you soon Kimberly, see you this evening." Upon arrival at Adara I also told the receptionist that I had the coupon and was using it for my appointment. At no point did anyone inform me that they would not accept the offer. After my lash lift, during which my eyelids were burned with either the perming solution or the glue (the technician said she didn't know what could possibly be causing the burning), I went to leave and check out with the email offer. The spa refused to accept the offer and said that it was only for appointments scheduled with specific technicians and that I had to pay $125 for the lash lift (an exceptionally high price for the area). If the offer was only for specific technicians it needed to say that! And when I repeatedly said I intended to use the offer for the service I selected, I should never have been told it was okay if they wouldn't accept the offer in the end - because really what are you going to do once you've had the service and they demand payment?! There's no other explanation for what happened here other than predatory behavior by a scam business. Don't be fooled by this place. Take your business elsewhere - there are lots of great places in and around DC that do excellent lash enhancement services and don't try to scam customers (or burn their eyelids).
