My son took me here tonight for Mother's day dinner and the whole experience was outstanding. My first Vegan meal.

Good food, gluten free options, bad vibes. Service is hit or miss - can be awkward or even downright unwelcoming. Not worth your time. Try Coconut on T instead! Friendly service, great food, great gluten free options, and affordable. Can even up-charge your meal to organic chicken for the same price as regular at Thai Basil.

Big fan of Thai Basil in Roseville. My daughter and I were downtown and wanted Thai food. Why not go where we know? We ordered our favorites from Roseville (the menu appears the same). Sadly the yellow curry was not as flavorful. You could taste the shortcuts. Like the veggies and chicken may have been cooked separately and then combined once the sauce was prepared. The chicken and potatoes were dry. The Pad Thai was translucent and if I had to suggest a color, white. I've had Pad Thai in many places and always seen shades veggies, tofu, chicken, lime, green onion... this was translucent and white, (it's red and delicious in Roseville). We would have said something but no one checked on us. They brought us our check, boxed our food and we left. Disappointed.

Frequent diner at nearby Thai restaurant, Bangkok at 12th, but Thai Basil is walking distance from home so we thought we'd walk for takeout, revisit a place we haven't been in a number of years. While our food was okay, it still doesn't compare to our mainstay, Bangkok. The Pad Thai with chicken didn't seem fresh, the Pad Kra Pow with tofu had about 4 stingy cubes of tofu,, the portions weren't very large, and the prices were significantly higher than other, better Thai options in downtown/midtown. You can do worse . But you can do better.

Decent food. Not the best I've ever had, but good. Good Thai iced tea. The vegetarian spring rolls (not fried) were a little dry and lacking in flavor, but the drunken noodles had lots of flavor. Wide range of choices with lots of vegetarian options, which is always appreciated.
