  A great way to forget you are in an urban setting. Truly is a walk in the woods. You need entry to NYBG for access but that is free all day Wednesday and between 9-10 on Saturday mornings. But if you can afford it I highly recommend Garden membership. There is always something going on.

  A forest so serene in the middle of the hustle and bustle and traffic. So nice!

  This is an Oasis inside the Boogie Down Bronx. Easy to see right off of Bronx Park Road servicing the Bronx and the adjoining areas. Great for families, bird watching, and getting back to nature. Plenty of parking and a wheel chair accessible entrance. Clean facilities. Nice Staff. Concession stand and gift store. We will definitely be going back.

  So peaceful on sunny weekdays. Weekends will be crowded. It's still worth it. Great paths and vistas.

  Great for bird watching on a quiet day in the bronx. Make sure to visit the New York Botanical garden, so you can take in the splendor of this forest.
