  Walked in and asked to break a fifty. Said they wouldn’t because I don’t have an account with them. Cold.

  Horrible customer service. There is no structured waiting system to see the agents at the desks, the agents have absolutely no urgency and don’t act like they care at all about anything. Severely understaffed. There are a few of the tellers who do a good job and are friendly but aside from them I would stay far far away from this poorly run bank. One of the managers(Gloria Rodriguez) told me that the fraud department (telephone service) closed at 7pm just so she wouldn’t have to help me as it was getting close to their 7pm closing time. Turns out the fraud department is open 24hrs but the wait time to speak to someone could be over an hour. I had to deal with the fraud department in the first place because someone printed fake checks with a completely different company name that were all of a sudden coming out of my business account. The names weren’t even close and should have never passed any legit cashing system. In turn I was forced to have to call the fraud department every morning to let them know what check numbers were ok. The wait time was sometimes over an hr. Absolutely ridiculous. On top of it all there were times that I called and approved checks but they never ended up completing the process which led to fees on top of fees. Complete nightmare. I had to call every time I wanted to take money out of the account as well. Never again. The lady(Gloria) was rude, very dismissive and had no clue what she was talking about. Luckily I am closing my accounts(been waiting 1.5hrs so far) and moving them to Bank of America 1 block away. The customer service there is so much better it’s not even funny!

  Excellent experience, had no problem creating an account and dealing with any administrative issues. Can easily withdraw any amount of money in any configuration. Open on weekends. What more do you need?

  I used to really love this bank, and the staff were mostly great - there was always one horrible snooty fellow in a managerial position who was incredibly unpleasant to interact with, but apart from him, everyone was really above and beyond all the time and I actually enjoyed coming to the bank if you can imagine, just because of their friendliness. A few of the sincerely pleasant, helpful people remain, but a lot of the recent staff hires are just awful - incomprehensibly slow, disinterested, annoying. Wait times are now ridiculous, and it seems there are always 3 or 4 people sitting there behind the counter twiddling knobs and ignoring everyone while no one is being served or even acknowledged.
