  The food and service was great. The only reason not 5 stars is because the food although great was missing something to put it over the top. That being said I would still recommend this place if you want a great meal with great service and a nice atmosphere.

  Outstanding experience!!! I have lived in Jacksonville for about 1 year an half and i finally had a chance to try Taverna. The atmosphere is elegant and comfortable. Our waitress was very kind and was very helpful with suggestions. I like when the waiters know what their favorite food is on the menu. It was a girls night and we shared Mussels, Margarita’s Pizza , and pear salad with salmon. Mussels dish had a very strong smoked taste to it, but super good. Margarita pizza sauce was exquisite. The pear salad is something i would come back and order each time because its such a salad that i crave. Thank you for a wonderful experience!!! Ill be suggesting this place to many visitors who come by Jacksonville.

  Great ambience. Service decent. Wines were nice, some exotics. Those were fun. Food was mediocre. Ricotta appetizer was bland, supposedly had herbs, but only shallots. Soups and salads ok. Neither of us were impressed, except for the Dessert! The chocolate, with glazed orange rind, caramel drizzle and pistachios was fabulous!

  This restaurant is the first place listed when you search "brunch" in San Marco and they showcase an extensive brunch menu on their website, so I was surprised to be told they do NOT serve brunch on weekdays. Since I had already driven there and taken a seat, I reluctantly ordered off the lunch menu. Thankfully Taverna won me over with their Cobb salad, which was absolutely delicious. Service was very efficient, if impersonal, and the atmosphere was pleasant. I will be back thanks to how great the food was...just not for brunch.

  My wife and I ate here for our anniversary and loved it! Good atmosphere, delicious food (we got the ravioli and smoked short ribs) and cocktails (I had a Moscow Mule), and our waitress was phenomenal (for sure earned the big tip we left 😄). I would highly recommend this restaurant with two caveats: 1. Because of the urban decor and space, the restuarant is slightly cramped, and they are usually packed with patrons. 2. The price is, to me, a little high. Expect to pay one hundred dollars for the things listed above plus an appetizer. If those two things sound palatable, definitely try this place out!
