  Lovely place. Son and I came over here for coffee, hot chocolate and some breakfast. Cozy place; great coffee; no pressure; friendly staff; good food — worked great for us. Would have love side of potatoes with our omelette 😉👏👍👍

  Do you like having things *literally* thrown at you and onto the floor? Then this is the coffeeshop for you! There were multiple problems with the food, too, but I'll get to that in a moment. The part that has me deeply upset right now is the behavior of one of the staff. I have no idea what this guy's problem was, but he was rude to my husband. What was my husband's cardinal sin? He asked for some half and half for his coffee because the pitcher was empty. This guy looked my husband in the eye, scowled, SLAMMED down a jug of cream, then grabbed a handful of empty sugar packets, threw them in the air and all over the floor like a child having a tantrum, and turned away. Neither of us could figure out why. We sat and tried to enjoy our so-so food, but this guy kept glaring death at us from over the espresso machine. For REASONS, apparently. On top of that, the food was just okay. My omelette came only partly cooked through (and it was flat, not folded, so this was impressive) and had raw kale inside it. Raw kale, bitter, with stringy stalks included. Yum. (The "yum" was sarcasm.) We won't be back. I have no idea what was going on there today, but that was the most unwelcome I've felt anywhere in Manhattan.

  Amazing coffee! Quiet, warm environment. Friendly staff and the food is DELICIOUS! The BLT & Chili is amazing! The only thing is, it’s a bit pricy. For instance, the BLT is $8 & $10 if you want to add egg. Of course for a trendy environment, they can charge that much but it’s still 3 times as expensive as the bodega. Overall, I truly love going there and would recommend especially if you love good coffee.

  First, the good things. Perfect, cozy, and calm ambiance. Just a tiny bit of music in the background. To relax or read a book, this is the place to go. But the coffee is a disaster! As you can see, they serve a machiato in a water glass! In a water glass?! What barista school teaches that? They have a state of the art Italian espresso machine, but what they pull out of this machine would be an insult to any Italian!

  This is what a coffee house should look and feel like. It’s a warm homey spot for decompressing from the day, or for just some piece and quiet. The no laptop regulation is brilliant; You don’t know how much you needed it till you see it.
