To be fair, I've only been once. The cheesesteak was great and atmosphere was nice. I came because I love Captain Cookie and living in Hyattsville it was great to have a food hall open so close by! On the other hand the coffee was definitely not competitively priced with the other coffee shops in and around DC, so while the flavor was decent, prices were steep for just grabbing a cup of coffee. Can't wait to continue to watch this place grow!!

It is so nice to have near Edgewood. Good selection of places to eat, Steak and cheese, Vegan, Tacos, Meatball, Cookies and Ice Cream and a place for adult beverages. I think the drink I had was Three Flies--very refreshing for the spring weather. I also ate at the steak and cheese place. It was tasty and I loved the onion rings

There's a number of different places to check out and get food from. There's even a bar in the back. Great smells were present along the inside.

On the outside, Tastemakers feels like a miniature Union Market. On the inside, it's a food hall with a mission. It's goal is to provide a state of the art commercial kitchen for food start ups in Washington, D.C. to use to launch their businesses. Located in Brookland, it's one of the food destinations in NE DC and only a 10 minute drive from fun NW neighborhoods like Shaw. It's a large building housing a handful of stands. There's bagels at Bullfrog, ice cream at Captain Cookie, meatballs at Balls. There's a coffee shop, a bar in the back, and a few other businesses. There are plenty of seats (with Trivia Pursuit cards on them for conversation starters). If it's nice outside, there's a lawn in the front. If you want a new, unique food experience in DC, head up to Brookland.

The drinks are amazing, and there's always a crazy variety of fresh food. They host a bunch of food trucks that want store fronts, so there's a ton of good options including a really great vegan place. Plus the best cookie ice cream sandwich I've ever had.
