  This store looked cool and I took quite a trek to get to it, but I wasn't even able to go inside. I called the store ahead of time and I was assured they'd be open. I arrived at the store at 6pm just as someone was exiting - I then tried the door and was confused to find it locked. There were two people in the store and I tried to get their attention. Finally after several minutes a person came out who explained in a condescending tone that a reading was in session and I couldn't come in. I understand that something was going on, but I just wish that the person was nicer about it. I also called ahead of time literally just 10 minutes before I arrived and was told the store was open. Finally, there was no sign or explanation that the store was closed. Just having a sign would've been great. To me, this is a clear indication that this business doesn't know what they're doing. They've lost my business and I'm not coming back.

  I had a wonderful reading with Vanessa who was incredibility attentive to my personal questions and generous with her insight. She took the time to familiarize herself with my natal chart before my visit but also prepared charts for recent solar returns and my Saturn return. The reading was easily accessible/well translated but also incredibly thorough. I was familiar with various aspects of my chart and this visit definitely deepened my understanding and overall literacy with astrology. The response time after I requested an appointment was quick and scheduling was easy. I recently had a very difficult time attempting to book a reading with another space in Bushwick and was happy to experience a more professional interaction with Tarot Society. I would definitely recommend this space and Vanessa to anyone looking for a deep astrological reading.

  Tarot Society is always a welcoming space for everyone - those just beginning to explore the vast esoteric realms and well-seasoned adventurers alike. TS always has something interesting going on... from mind-expanding, thought-provoking classes to psychedelic/ energetic or calm/ dreamy musical events. It's a great way to connect to the community, with instructional group gatherings & workshops or simply hanging out with friendly, like-minded people and enjoying the ever-changing art decorating this gallery. They make that small space somehow both cozy & expansive

  I always feel welcome in this sacred safe-space in Bushwick. It's an oasis, warm with tea and the most beautifully intuitive readers, healers, and mystics. There's always a diverse roster of interesting classes and events, many of which I've never seen anywhere else. Thankful to know and be known here.
