I love to get to work with these folks tome and time again. Family style feel with expert real estate knowledge. They work in residential, commercial, new construction and rental markets.

We have been active renters with Tarkington & Harwell for the past two years and have loved working with them. Any and all repair concerns have been expeditiously addressed with true care and concern. Their staff has always gone above and beyond regarding the management of our property. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a responsive and caring landlord with exceptional property management service.

I am had an excellent experience with Tarkington & Harwell. Ray Tarkington is a fantastic and kind landlord who gets problems solved quickly. Every repairman he has called who has come to help me at my apartment has been so friendly. He has always been accommodating, and the price I am paying on my current rental is very reasonable. I would highly recommend, especially considering the current housing options in Nashville.

My wife and I currently rent from Tarkington and harwell. We began living in the Belle Meade Condominiums in September 2015. The place had a musty smell from the beginning. An elderly women lived here prior and I thought the smell would eventually dissipate. The unit has a dryer that is not vented. It blows most air into our bedroom. This was definitely the cause of a mold issue discovered in December of 2105. The property was also involved in the flood. I'm sure this contributes to the mold as the crawl space is a mold breeding ground. we had a very strong musty smell coming from the washer and dryer area. And a leak coming down from upstairs into out heating and air unit. The property manager had someone come and assess the issues. The upstairs leak was fixes. The repair made had to break down the wall by the dryer. The wall and floor were soft and moist from moisture. The back of the walls were black. The repair found a leak behind those w/d units and fixed it. The he sealed off and covered up the moist and moldy floor and wall. The issue is simply there is mold and it needs professionally taken care of and has not been done so yet. at the end of July 2016 my wife came down with a respiratory and throat issue. She went to three doctors and has spent a lot of time trying to get better. I always have a stuffed nose and my throat feels very dry when in the apartment. Around August 9 th 2016 we called and asked for this issue to be resolved professionally. We were told that there person would come and if this is not good enough you can move. There person came that Thursday and will return hopefully on Tuesday the 16th. My wife and I have not slept in out apartment since Wednesday the 10 th. In a couple days we felt better and when returning we can feel the poor air quality of the apartment. We spoke to the owner about compensation for not being able to stay safely in our own home and he was quick to say you can move out if you want to. It seems like they don't understand that humans will have to live here regardless of who. The place needs fixed properly and promptly, but that's not what is happening. There has been little concern for me and my wife's well being. I have been made to feel like I'm some burden. I hope the company will take quick action and change my opinion of them.
