Very pleasant and delightful experience. The Take is have been in business forever. The old fashioned super friendly service.

Owned by Steve Takechi and his mother, Kimi Takechi. She turned 100 years old this year, but she is at the store every time they are open. They have quality jewelry and fine gifts, many jade products. Don't be intimidated by the full stock, but if you don't see it, ask them. Prices are from low to high. So anyone can afford to shop there. They also have many clocks. Very good selection of unusual clocks. Their service is impeccable.

BUYER BEWARE, this business has two BBB complaints in the last three years. I brought in a very expensive set of watch tips to this shop and the owner lost them. He has been unwilling to make ammends to me for losing my merchandise. Also, his prices are ridiculous - expect to pay hundreds of dollars for watches that can be purchased online at a fraction of the price.

Just a traditional watch store. Took couple links off my watch quickly and nicely. Very nice and humble people. Love this place

I was in Omaha for the summer when the battery of my Seiko watch with a perpetual calendar died. I know that these watches can be difficult to fix, but I took it to Takechi's hoping the owner would be able to do so. He gave it a shot, but he wasn't able to get it working and told me that he would have to send it in to Seiko. This wasn't particularly shocking given that I had to send a similar watches with a dead battery to Seiko in the past. At that point, he told me that if my watch was less than three years old, it would be under warranty. Although my watch was less than three years old, I told him that I didn't have the paperwork for it, which was at my home in Colorado. He told me not to worry about that and that he knew someone at Seiko who would be able get me a discount anyway. It sounded a bit too good to be true, so I asked how much it would cost if it wasn't discounted. He estimated that it would be $50-$75. I told him that if it was over $100, I would want to hold off, but he was confident that it wouldn't be that expensive. That seemed about right to me given my past experience, so I had him send it off. When I went to pick up my watch, he wanted to charge me $135. I was naturally taken aback. I told him that he had estimated the cost much lower. At that point, he told me that not only did they not consider my watch under warranty but also that they had needed to do additional work that he hadn't anticipated. I was naturally pretty disappointed with this outcome. If he wasn't able to give me a discount, he shouldn't have suggested that he could get me one. I would have happily waited until I returned home before sending my watch in so that I could have gotten the repairs covered by the warranty. Moreover, I expected him to have a better sense for how expensive the repairs would be given that he is an authorized Seiko dealer. Although he only charged me $120, that was still significantly higher than he estimated. I wish he hadn't misled me about how much the repair would cost, and I'm particularly upset that he suggested that he could get me a discount when he couldn't.
