I spent over $8 on over-priced food for very small portions. I ordered a "bowl" that comes in a small brown box? Um, ok? Chicken was bland and the toppings were very sparse to choose from. Plus a drink re-fill is a dollar... Really? If you're in the mood for Mexican cuisine, there's a Chipotle a few minutes away. They give you a better bang for your buck, and free refills.

Taco Del Costoso... That is what I personally call this place. Glance at the expensive menu one time and you'll see why. Located at 1206 Elizabeth Avenue in the Overcash building, and NOT at 1125 Charlottetowne Ave, it is a west coast based knock off of Moes that sells Mexican Cuisine for prices that will cost you dearly. The difference here is unlike Moes, which has amazing food worth paying extra for, the food here is really bland, and sold in small portions. I'll never forget the time I tried a chicken quesadilla from here. It was awful compared to Moes. Even the quesadillas from Taco Bell are much better, and much cheaper. And unlike the chips from Moes that are cooked in store, the chips from TDC taste like they came from a bulk package from Sam's or Costco. A bit on the stale side. The price of just a quesadilla at TDC is $5. That does not include a side and drink. Want a burrito? That will cost you $6 for JUST the burrito. Want a side and a drink with that? Make it a meal for an extra $2.50. Want a drink refill? Your wallet isn't finished yet. Absolutely NO free drink refills here. And they are serious about it. Take a quick look at the provided image of their soda fountain... REFILLS $1, REFILLS $1, REFILLS $1. Come on... Seriously? Common costs for a meal from here will run you around $8-$12. As far as the refills being $1 EACH, they claim it was because people were stealing from the soda fountain... if that was really the case then why didn't they place the fountain behind the counter like Bojangles' did? Surely they had to have known this during construction. I'll be honest here. When I leave reviews, I prefer to leave good reviews. The Subway on campus here is under the same franchise, and I have always had good things to say about it. They're a bit pricey too, but offer a good amount for the price. The drink fountain doesn't have REFILLS $1 plastered all over it either. But when you have a fast food joint that offers such bland and basic food, charges the students exorbitantly high prices for it, and puts the icing on the cake with $1 refills, there isn't really much good to say. As others have noted here, and from what others have told me, there's a Chipotle right up the street. They serve big portions, and refills are free. Want better pizza for a better price. There's a Domino's right up from Deck 2. As far as this place and Sbarro goes, they are just too expensive to be in a college setting. The Sbarro does seem to do better, though you're still looking at $7-$11 roughly for a meal, plus $1 refills. The Bojangles that used to be here was great. They gave you at least 1 free refill, and I spent around $4-$6 for meals. Keeping in trend with pizza and Mexican Cuisine, Pizza Hut Express and Taco Bell would be better options for the students here. CPCC Food Services should really take this into consideration.

I had the loaded nachos, I can say that I've had better at little league baseball games. Prices are very high. I paid $9 for loaded nachos and a drink. Then refills still cost $1. This is a college campus, not a concert arena.
