::They were super busy during our visit. We had a big party, but we were seated on a booth, which made us felt uncomfortably tight together. The food was good, but the red lighting made it hard to see and made the food not appetizing. The waitress were so busy that I felt it’s hard for her to check with us often enough to take additional food orders. The tacos for Tuesday specials were delicious, but they are appetizers size.

::The atmosphere is great. The GM walked around and checked in with every table, which was nice to see. Definitely get the steak, delish!

::The new ownership ruined this place... the food quality tremendously went down and their prices went up?????? makes ZERO sense... But what truly brought me here was the new management getting rid off their very well-known nachos. They claimed they "brought the old nachos back" but they truly did not, they are not tasty at all and are a sad excuse of "nachos". First, there are no size options for the nachos. The chips are SO salty to the point where I literally had to WIPE OFF the salt on each chip before eating them. The lack of protein options - where's the pulled pork? Now WHY would you drizzle sour cream all over the chips??? ...just plop some on top. The cheese is only on the top, so many empty chips without toppings, I can go on foreverrrr. (look at last two photos attached) AND DO not get me started on the "quesadilla"... it wasn't even toasted well? (it's literally a quesadilla... bread and cheese... just toast it longer?) The change in food is probably the most upsetting change in a restaurant I have ever seen. Do not get me wrong, the new waiter who helped us was nice. However, as a regular for TOO many years, I have never been more disappointed in food and will sadly never be back unless they truly bring back the old Sunset Cantina food. Honestly the whole vibe in there changed? where did all the comfortable booth seating go?? and they delete all your comments on Instagram regarding their old nachos while deleting the posts/images once you've commented on them. Super childish "management" if you ask me. Please, do not fix things unless they're broken (first two images are the old amazing nachos and last two are the new management's nachos)

::What is this travesty? The Sunset Cantina, known for comfort food and the absolute BEST nachos in Boston has taken a dreadful and sad turn. This is the embarrassment they bring to your table now. So sad...

::Sunset Cantina used to be great, but there are some service and food issues. The food, when properly prepared is still very good. The burger I ordered medium rare looked rare or raw.
