  My friend and I discovered Sugar Koi several months ago. I love ice cream but rarely stop at ice cream shops. Sugar Koi has definitely changed that. Their homemade flavors are fabulous and the fish cone is amazing. Ube (purple yam) is my personal go to and one that I buy pints of to take home. I tried a sample of the Pandan (a sweet grass, I think?) flavor tonight and had to get a scope of each. It is by far my favorite ice cream place I’ve ever been to and the owner, Nat, is a lovely human being. If you’re wanting to try a new ice cream shop, I highly recommend giving Sugar Koi a try.

  This is the best ice cream place in all of Cary. The Ube is the best thing on the menu, and his custom flavors are to die for. I sample every flavor he puts up. The staff is amazing, and super friendly. Plus amazing hobby shop right next store.

  One of the best local finds, have the some best ice cream flavors and a good coffee. The owners are great and friendly, you can see that in their face and smile. We tried couple of ice cream flavors, both were great and the have some nice authentic Asian flavors to try. Will definitely go again.

  Omg so good!! The amazing fish waffle cone that comes warm is so amazing. I'm lactose intolerant but it's worth it eating here.

  Lovely place in the Brightleaf complex of businesses. It smelled yummy! Because of the if freshly made cones, you begin to smell vanilla and cinnamon before you even enter. The little Koi fish tastes yummy! You also get choice of sprinkles, mochi, pirouette, pocky or other treats to accompany your ice cream. I had a scoop of brown butter truffle.... Yummo! The matcha was tasty and the purple potato(umami) was good too. They closed early today at 5:00. We walked in at that time and he didn't deny us service. How cool was that? Great service! Great Lil spot!! Great ice cream!!!
