Very nice hotel, decorated with taste, very clean and close to Harvard. Friendly staff, The breakfast is included and quite good (muffins, bagels, waffles, ham, cheese, fruit, juice, etc...). Nice view on the Charles River. Comfortable beds, big rooms, new TV (cable but no cast possible). Enough outlets to plug everything. Nice bathroom with a tub. The only (minor) problems are that it's not close to Downtown and that the heating system is a bit noisy when it starts. We were very happy to be there after spending a few days in a very small NY city hotel room. Highly recommended.

This is such a fun hotel! There is art EVERYWHERE and it is so well curated. It runs through every space - even the elevators. My friends and I were so excited every time we got to go in the “party elevator” with its multicolored lights. The in-hotel restaurant was closed when we stayed so we didn’t get to try it but we saw the patio from inside and it is gorgeous. The prices were also not bad at all. The only downside I would say is location - it was a bit of a trek whenever we wanted to go anywhere that wasn’t a Star Market. However, as there aren’t a lot of good hotels in Allston, this is probably as good as it’s going to get if you’re going to a venue like the Roadrunner. I’d definitely come back.

Unique and comfortable hotel close enough to Harvard Square. We like to walk, but there is also a bus that takes you right there since it's a little over a mile. The rooms are a nice size and ours was very clean. The beds were comfortable, and the temperature was fine. The art was great! As noted by another reviewer, the heating unit did make a little noise, but we used a white noise machine, so it wasn't at all bothersome. Weekends can be busy with people coming in and out of their rooms at night, but that's true of any hotel. The breakfast was ample and good. Free parking was also a bonus. It was too cold and rainy to sit outside, but the lobby is large with multiple seating areas. We also appreciated the staff. Everyone was helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to attend to concerns and/or requests. A+ for service. In addition to the staff, the design and art throughout the hotel set it apart. This is not your bland, sterile corporate hotel. It's so much more fun. In summary, this is not a brand new, shiny luxury hotel in the heart of a downtown area, but it is a very reasonably priced hotel with some great features. And most of all, the staff are consistently wonderful.

Service was good. Staff was friendly & informative when we had questions. The rooms were not that great. Bed was very hard. Sheets had stains on them.. A/C barely worked (had to turn it down to 63° to not feel humid). Noticed air filter was dirty & should have been changed. Window did not fully close & would not lock shut. Overall, Building looked nice due to art work/design... but it's still an older building that needs regular maintenance.

No operable heat or air conditioning for the entirety of my recent stay.. willingly shut off by staff to "save on expenses". After calling front desk to inquire about the uncomfortable temp, I was offered a myriad of fan options and a space heater in case it got cold (see pic). Unfortunately though, they didn't have enough individual A/C units to pass out to everyone... and it got hot being on an upper floor.. 78⁰ 🥵 I understand that this isn't luxury accommodations, but for the price, I expected to at least have reasonable comfort at night. Pros.. the location was decent and there is ample parking.
