Stayed in the Cattle Barron room. A/C wouldn't get very cold. They sent a black dude named Ken up who was there maintenance guy. He told my wife the A/C was set at 70 and then tells me it was at 67 I said no it's not I put the thermostat at 65 wouldn't go below 72. Dude had an attitude. This place SUCKS!! I wouldn't recommend it.

I really like the truly authentic and rustic feel as soon as we walked through the front door. It was well kept and our room was awesome!

Location is key here. Right in the middle of stockyards. Rooms are great! Customer service is top notch. Valet parking is quick and nice. However, there are so many things so close you might not need your car much. I didn't give 5 stars because this hotel is very close to night life. If you are trying to sleep it could be hard. Loud live music, people partying, loud cars can all disturb your sleep. One more thing, I was on third floor right next to ice machine. Ice machine was not the problem, there was some kind of chain that would run.... Like a dumb waiter or pully. I can sleep through anything so it didn't bother me but probably would others. Noise MUST be a problem as they provide ear plugs. Oh... One other thing.... The coffee maker was filthy. Other than that, hotel was on point. Water pressure and temp was good. Very clean. Rooms are huge.

Opening the Door to our room was like stepping back in time to the western days. Room was facing the main street and the business across from the hotel was an added enjoyment. And as nite fell. The Street Preacher started and back to an old western town town started.... bars and the street preacher put on a show. We were fine with it but some of you may not. You can request a room if the busy street side, but we wanted the hustle & bustle of the old west... We Had A Great Nite.....

What a Lovely hotel and well embroidered with Texas history and painting of cowboys. Desk clerk welcomed my friend and I to eat our drunken whataburger at a marble table in the lobby after returning pretty late or early morning. Aside from that one of a kind fiasco the rooms are all unique and the water pressure is decent. Comfortable beds! Very fun stay and accommodating staff.
