  Big price tags should come with excellent customer service. I love the fit and feeling of the clothes at Splendid and have bought many Splendid tops from Nordstrom. Unfortunately, my first (and probably) last experience at their store in Portland soured me a bit on their brand. I purchased a pretty sundress. The material is light and airy, but unfortunately wrinkles extremely easily. By the time I got it home, it was already pretty wrinkled. Knowing this kind of material can be finicky, I tried ironing a seam on the lowest setting, but it left some obvious marks on the dress. I also tried steaming the gown, but even small droplets of water discolored the fabric and caused it to pucker. Of course, the tag says dry clean only, and it made me a little nauseous when I realized that the $150 dress I had just purchased would not be wearable until I paid a hefty dry cleaning bill. And with a dress that wrinkles that easily, I realized I would have to pay a dry cleaning bill with each wear. The Splendid return policy requires an item to be returned in new condition with tags and they are refusing to take back the dress, even though I am 100% unsatisfied with because the fabric is essentially unwearable. Again, I have higher standards for clothing with this kind of price tag.
