  Dr. Lara is a highly skilled practitioner who also has an exquisite bedside manner with all of her patients. I had a neck injury, and Lara was able to offer immediate relief at reasonable rates. Doctors tend to make me nervous, but not at all when I'm being treated at Soulshine!

  I went to Dr. Lara because I was experiencing discomfort in my back around the beginning for my second trimester. I was hesitant at first, since I had never been to a chiropractor before. Before she started working on me, she walked me through an informative presentation, which explained how helpful and gentle our sessions would be, not only for easing my tense back, but for preparing for an easy labor. I purchased a bundle of 10 sessions up front, since I already felt relief from my first session. I love the way I feel after a session, like I have done something beneficial for myself and my baby. I also love that when I'm having a specific discomfort, Dr. Lara makes sure to address it and even gives me takeaway tips for what I can do at home to help myself. I highly recommend any pregnant (or not pregnant) person to visit her! You won't regret it!

  I have been going to see Dr. Lara for adjustments for 3 years. She adjusted me when I was pregnant and seeking relief from back pain as well as post baby when my body was getting used to losing the baby weight. I like to go see her 2x a month to keep my body in balance and my back feeling strong. I had never seen a chiropractor before, but Dr. Lara assured me it would be gentle and it was! I have referred my husband, children (ages 3 &6), and friends to her. Everyone has had a great experience. She has a lovely office, right off the F train, making it a pleasure to go there. I highly recommend her to any first time patients, pregnant women, or moms of babies - or anyone who wants to have a clear mind/body connection!

  I've had the pleasure of being Dr. Lara's patient before, during and after my pregnancy. She is so gentle, that I almost don't feel anything while she is doing her work. Yet the benefits afterward last for days. If you're looking for someone with a gentle touch, in a warm and inviting atmosphere, this is where you should go.
