Seriously great prices, on better than average used clothes, accessories & a few home items. The men's selection is not bad at all.

Run by the Downtown Emergency Service Center. Very small space. Limited selection and hours of operation - frequently not open then due to a staffing limitations. Cheap prices.

I've hesitated to add the mission thrift store, cuz it's just too awesome. Proceeds go to the mission, wares come from donation. But what makes this joint special is the mgt and the great value. The mostly volunteer staff curates the collection with care, acumen and inspiration. Fashionistas and tag-poppers: if you think you know P-square, but haven't been here, then, I'm sorry: you don't know P-square. Fixed price, under $10 everything, name brands leaning toward the au currant (Hilfiger, Ann Taylor, Banana Rep, etc.). Great curiosity finds. Great maker shoes. Bags. This tiny shop packs it all in. Don't plan to pop in for a quick peak, give an hour a month if you really mean it. And, when you finally make it to the check out, and you're feeling smug that you just outfitted your whole family for the season for less than a c-note, stop and look around you. These folks need help. Put an extra Jackson in the tip jar and be thankful for what you have and can share.
