Mmm..tasty! A vegan-friendly barbecue restaurant in the heart of Adams Morgan. The selection of sauces here are incredible. Spicy, smoky, zesty, tangy - you name it. We came here for dinner and tried the smoked vegan "wings" (muddy option), vegan spare ribs, sweet potato fries, and coleslaw. The vegan spare ribs were my favorite. The addition of pine nuts made it all the better. I used to come here for their taco tuesdays and veggie special Mondays. Definitely a progressive BBQ establishment.

Fantastic food. There are some very tasty vegan options that my group really enjoyed. The food came fairly quickly. I wish our waitress was a little more attentive, but it didn't detract from the overall experience. My only real complaint, and it's not really the fault of the restaurant, but the door kept being left open which caused a draft so at times it was pretty chilly. So if you are a customer, close the door behind you.

It was much better a year ago... had more vegan options on the menu but still a great place 2 eat. The atmosphere is still quite cozy as well

Consistently fantastic food and great vegan options. Their vegan spare ribs would have fooled me into thinking they're meat. They recently changed their veggie chili recipe and I actually like it better now.

The place smells like my grandmother's kitchen (for those that don't know her, that's a great thing!). And I figured out why: they slow roast their meats (my grandmother had a slow roaster she used every Sunday). The BBQ Cuban sandwich is shockingly good (as a kid born in Tampa, Cuban sandwiches are a sensitive subject north of Orlando) and their collard greens are some for the books. If you want to really treat yourself, get your favorite people together for the BBQ platter and go nuts with the side dishes (get a bunch). Living here for 10+ yrs, I shared with some special people and it's gone down as one of my favorite DC memories.
