  Great museum with a variety of animals from around the world. One of the focal points is the Panda Bear on loan from China. These wonder creatures help educate people on the need for all of us to increase our awareness of conservation status of all animals around the world. It is well organized into different housing areas with similar animals sharing them. Only complaint is the layout which is a little tricky to navigate.

  This is a place to visit when you have lots of time. There are many exhibits and animals to see and activities to do. Checking out the website is suggested before you go to find out what is happening and how to best use your time. The staff and volunteers go out of their way to provide the visitor the best experience possible. Don't try to rush through or try to see everything. If time is limited, just pick one area of interest to explore and save the rest for another time.

  What a great experience. My wife and I took our 1.5 year old son with us. We brought our own stroller ( although you can rent some on site). The park is very well laid out- albeit- very hilly. A good game plan is to enter on conneticut AVE, and see the exhibits and enclosures as you slowly work down hill. You can then depart at the bottom of the zoo and travel down to your next nearest metro. Park was kept very clean, very family friendly, and it's a great place for all.

  This is one of my favorite zoos. I'm amazed at how many animals they can fit into this zoo. The variety of animals is wonderful, even if they can't always be found. The habitats are spacious so the animals are happy. I especially love the volunteer who wait in certain areas and answer questions about the animals. It's like the animals have their own groupies. Parking price is reasonable, but highly recommend having a car full to reduce price per person.

  Good zoo not supper big but we still spent 4 hours there. It’s a short walk from the metro station. Food is not cheap or great but money goes to the animals so... The zoo is well laid out and it easy to see everything. Enclosures are well maintained and pretty up to date. The panda area was top notch. We really enjoyed our time there. And it’s free.
