Great place for an afternoon out. Well laid out, spacious. Interesting and educational. Great for kids. Staff very helpful and friendly. They gave excellent facilities. Toilets are clean and spacious. They also have a Burger King. I was impressed by the quality and scale of the exhibits there.

Great effort by US Government for exploring history of plane, space crafts, rockets, engineering of every machines used up to the advancement in now a days technical achievements. Nicely designed.. Grouped in different categories.. Worth visiting for every people but especially much helpful to Students of Aerospace engineering. If we took guide with us, it will be much beneficiary to understand in deep. Mush appreciation for not to charge any entry ticket fee..I.e. Free Entry.. Thanks to the Government of Washington DC, US

Do the free guided tour! Leslie Graham was our docent and he was incredibly knowledgeable. It was an hour and 45 minutes and gave so much more than just reading plaques. The planes and space capsules are so neat to see in person. Tip, go early in the day to avoid the afternoon rush.

The name itself gives all the information that is required to about this place. For those curious peeps, to know the whereabouts of the origin of flying to the advancement of flight that we have achieved. A great way to dive into the history and the future. Those failed attempts, those dreamers and those achievers, every little contribution meticulously drafted and displayed. Amazing staff and very patient as there are many kids running around, which does not make their job easy. I would recommend to take an assistance from a guide, to understand everything. And do buy stuff from the gift store. You will be supporting the running of the museum as there is no entry ticket.

Wonderful museum. The admission to this museum is free. We visited this museum on a weekend with kids. It was a weekend well spent with kids and us gaining knowledge and having fun. The museum exhibits are well divided into sections according to their history and relevance. So you can decide the order you want to visit. There are many kid friendly areas where they can have hands on experience like "How Things Fly", Flight simulator among others. From the early Wright Brothers flight, Amelia Earhart flight to the latest Boeing, one can see the advancement that had taken place over the years in airplanes. The Flight Hall with all full size space crafts is another attraction. There is a gift shop and cafeteria inside. The day we visited the cafeteria was closed. This museum is definitely worth the visit.
