  I am African American and have always had positive experiences at Smith Nail. I don't deny "cuz john's" experience set forth below. But it has not been my experience. I've been getting my nails done there for a few years now, and it is my go-to place. I find that generally they are prompt and efficient and call in manicurists from another shop, which helps avoid delay. They also provide free neck and shoulder massages to all patrons when they get their nails done and are waiting for the dryer. My husband also frequents Smith Nail, and has had a positive experience without any illegality. Like the majority view, I highly recommend them.

  They're fine. You're talking about this store for 10 years. Who doesn't know that she doesn't even have a massage room. You don't tell them. There are special services to warn you

  DO NOT GO HERE! I decided to treat myself to a manicure so I stopped in since this place was empty at the time. There were two Asian workers in the nail salon at the time. While getting my nails done, the second worker offered me a shoulder massage at an additional charge of $10 for 10 minutes. I felt pressured since she had already started massaging my shoulders, so I agreed. She then tried to up sell me a more private massage in the back room for total body for $55.dollars for one hour and for a hundred she would give me a happy ending. WHAT? I said no thank you and just wanted this horrible experience over. At about 6 minutes into the shoulder massage, an African american woman walked in for a manicure. The worker that was massaging my shoulders started banging on my back signifying that she was done. I did't even care that she cheated me out of the lase 4 minutes. she then walked over and started dealing with the other customer. After telling the African American woman to pick her polish, 2 Russian women walked in and asked for a manicure. That's when the worker asked the African American customer if she would wait until she finished with the 2 white Russian customers that walked in after the African American customer. The African American woman said that it was unfair that she would have to wait and that she was there first and was about to be served; she then walked out and said that they should not treat people like that. That's also when I had enough. I had the lady stop in the middle of my manicure and paid her. I just was totally disgusted and wanted out of there. SHAME ON YOU SMITH NAILS AND I HOPE THE POLICE BUST YOUR ILLEGAL HAPPY ENDING MASSAGE OPERATION.

  I waited 20 minutes when it wasn't even that busy for women who didn't understand one word of English to put my feet in scalding water, cut at my toenails until they broke, then filed one down so low it started bleeding - that's when I walked out. It's very obvious these women have no idea what they're doing, in a salon that is filthy and past it's prime. What a shame to a neighborhood that's already hopping...
