The best little diner I've found I'm Atlanta. When you are in town, get yourself here. First trip around had the biscuits (made from scratch and perfect!) Pancakes were perfection and huge. Country Ham steak with red eye gravy on the saltier side but fantastic along side the scrambled eggs and the most delicious grits! Did I mention that the orange juice was fresh squeezed? I'm ready to go back. Only open till about 2-2:30 so get their early and don't forget to take home a Lemon pie!

If you are looking for good, honest food, then the Silver Skillet is THE place to go in western Midtown. I typically go for the usual lunch special of a meat, two sides, and a choice of biscuits or cornbread. What can I say, I'm hooked on their chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and a side salad. Or, if you prefer greens, then there is pepper vinegar sauce on the table. Dessert. You cannot forget dessert. Ice box Lemon Pie with ice cream. That's one of those dishes that will cause you to gain weight from just looking at it. This is one of a very few A+, must eat at location in Atlanta.

This restaurant is always busy but worth any wait. It has been a filming location for many TV shows and movies, most recently The Resident. The food is delicious. When the menu say fresh made they ain’t lying. We had the veggie plate which was awesome. Nikki was our terrific server and we enjoyed talking with her about the history of the Silver Skillet. Definitely a do-over.

Went during a busy Sunday brunch time so there was a bit of a line, but since my party was small we were quickly seated at the counter. The ladies serving were so sweet! Our server took great care of us and the service was pretty quick for a place so filled up. I got a standard biscuits and gravy with eggs and finished it off with peach cobbler. The biscuits and gravy was fine, but the peach cobbler was served cold. It would have tasted way better if they made it warm and homely. I wish I adventured more on their menu so I could know about their dishes worth raving over. Regardless, service was awesome and the decor was super kitschy and cute. Would go again!

Had really great food and was located in an easy to access area. We went at a very busy time, Saturday brunch, and 3 of us were able to be seated relatively quickly. I had the Veggie Swiss burger which was fantastic, and the onion rings that came with it were good as well. The interior was decorated beautifully, and had some pictures hanging up from when the restaurant originally opened in the 60's. There menu has some interesting background information about the restaurant, but it was mostly about to shows and movies it has been featured in. Our waitress was lovely and the bill was reasonable, highly recommend.
