::Very friendly place with great drinks. I'll return soon to try the dinner menu, which has multiple vegetarian options.

::The Sazerac was one of the best I have ever had and if Dan is there be sure you buy him a shot of Jameson. The record collection is outstanding you can bring your own record there and if you are nice they might play it for you.

::Great vibe, fun bar program, high energy. The bar food is amazing. Empanadas are great, but don't miss the fried bologna sandwich.

::A little hard to find, but maybe that's the point. The atmosphere is super cozy mid-century modern. Perfect classic cocktails for $10. Get the empanadas! You wouldn't expect a small bar to have such amazing food, but they do.

::While walking around the whirlwind of Deep Ellum, I happened to be in front of this bar and asked my friend, "What the hell is this place?!" The bouncer exclaimed, "Shoals: Sound and Service! We make fine cocktails and play good music. Come check us out!" Fair enough. A sign above doesn't state the name, and for good reason. Stepping in, the bar has an air and look of sophistication with nice ambiance and decor. Fast forward to 4 drinks in, Shoals made some of the best tasting cocktails I've ever had! Staff was friendly and knowledgeable and I highly recommend this place for a low-key, fine cocktail drinking experience!
