  THIS PLACE IS A MUST. As a dark skin black female, it is a bit hard to find aestheticians who know how to care for ethnic skin and the owner Samantha Brown (SB) is an absolute gem for that and more! She is a hard-working, extremely professional and very well trained cosmetic professional. She is so kind, very beautiful and youthful too. I actually met her at an hospital where we both work. I discovered through a random conversation that she had this side business. She offers a plethora of services from microblading, microneedling, facials, to eyelash extensions and the list goes on. I have been wanting to try microblading for close to 2 years but delayed doing it due to the ridiculous cost and the fear that someone would mess up on my face.... After perusing her website I was sold and came in the NEXT DAY for a microblading session, especially since she was also offering a $300 discount at the time ($500 including touch-up session). PLACE: her place is located at a small shopping area where parking is always available. At the front desk her very beautiful (she gives me bald head envy every time!) and courteous assistant will give you a warm welcome. They always pick up phone calls and are very prompt in responding to inquiries. The place is an absolute little haven. Everything looks new, white and pristine--which is very satisfying for my bordeline OCD self. It smells so good there and it has such a relaxing atmosphere! SERVICES: I tried the microblading and natural enzyme facial. The microblading session went well and I am very happy with the results. SB took her time to not only understand what I wanted, but also execute it with extreme care. She was very patient and attentive. My pain threshold is extremely low, so she would stop and insist on giving me more numbing cream every time I winced-- even when I didn't say anything. The process was still painful, but that was beyond her control; I'm a lost cause, lol. She gave me very clear and accurate instructions on post-session care and what to expect for the next days to weeks. The facial was nice, but I did not see much difference with that one; I think it is too mild for my skin. I love that she explains everything she does and doesn't try to sell you unnecessary treatments that could be harmful for your skin type--she dissuaded me from trying some--and her knowledge of ethnic skin is impressive. I also believe that her medical background informs a lot of her practice too, which is always a plus. OVERALL, I highly recommend this place. Been trying to get my friends to try it (Long island is a bit far from the city without a car)...but if you do make the trip, you will not be disappointed! I think we should all support black businesses especially when a sister is doing it and doing it so well!

  I LOVE MY BROWS! Samantha Brown of Sheer Aesthetics is the most professional clinician I've ever been to. She is a perfectionist by nature. I had my eyebrows microbladed and they came out AMAZING. It's incredible how improving something so small can make you feel so much better about your physical appearance. I feel more confident with my thicker, fuller brows. The shape is very natural and even better than the way I used to pencil them in. Samantha's facilities were decorated beautifully. Everything was clean and sterile. She gave me aftercare instructions that were easy to follow. She was also easy to reach when I had questions. I really appreciated that she told me in advance about the stages of healing that I experienced. I would highly recommend her!

  I have to share the wonderful experience that I had at Sheer Aesthetics today! From the moment I walked in I felt relaxed - from the ambiance to the cleanliness to the friendly staff - everything was comforting. There was no long wait or rush, I was offered tea by the receptionist and then welcomed into the back room where I received my facial. I opted for the Signature Sheer Lily Facial. Samantha, the aesthetician, was very kind, warm and professional. She used all natural products for my facial and was very gentle throughout the entire process. She made sure I was comfortable at all times and was very attentive with every product she used, ensuring that I was not discomforted by any burning or tingling. The products did not burn or tingle, which is great for my skin since it is very sensitive. Everything smelled and felt great on my skin. I will definitely be going back to her next month for another facial, and will also try the eyebrow tinting. I am beyond pleased with my experience, I HIGHLY recommend this salon!
