  After moving to the Hawthorne area 4.5 years ago, I have been searching for a place to have my hair done. I've been through Ridgewood and Glen Rock to various places, but left feeling overcharged, with underperformance. Well, today that all changed. I have found my spot. I was a walk in with Lisa, for color and a cut. What a wonderful experience. I left feeling like a rock star, with a great cut, and phenomenal color. I now have my hair place, after searching for all these years. Can't wait to go back.

  This might just be the first time I have left a hair salon feeling so overjoyed that I feel guilty keeping this gem all to myself. My hair has been treated by stylists from New York, Connecticut, various New Jersey locations (including Ridgewood), and Lisa at ‘Shear Envy’ in Hawthorne, NJ has exceeded all my expectations. THIS is how a person should feel about their overall experience and the quality of work done on his/her hair. Not only that, but the time spent at ‘Shear Envy’ just flew by. As someone who is overworked and pressed for time, my anxieties quickly melted away. I was greeted with the warmest of welcomes and found myself surrounded by talented, hardworking, and kind-hearted people who are passionate about people and what they do. I still cannot believe how much I love my hair and how effortlessly Lisa corrected my hair coloring. Life is hard and way too short to miss such an opportunity to treat yourself at ‘Shear Envy’. I promise you will not regret it!

  Lisa is an amazing colorist - i have been going to her for many years and would not trust anyone else with my color!

  Candance did a great job coloring my daughter's hair pink into purple. Lisa always gets my color just right and natural looking.
