::The gentleman who owns and works this quaint market is a genuinely good person. I used to walk down to street and stop in here for various things while walking my dog each afternoon and I’d end up staying longer than I planned to talk about cal football or the weather or whatever was going on at that time. Its one of the things I miss about living on Channing. Funny enough I never got his name and I don’t think he ever asked mine, but if you’re in the neighborhood, pop in and let him know I said, hi!

::Friendly owner and a great assortment of items for people in the area, with both national and local brands represented. Nice selection of coffees, soft drinks, and snacks (although I wish they had more sugar-free drinks in stock). A regular here!

::Owner was extremely condescending to me upon entering the facility. I opened the fridge to look at the contents of the Yerba Mate that I was intending to buy as I am looking to reduce my sugar consumption. The owner then went out of his way to tell me that I was to not open the fridge unless I was grabbing said item to buy. I told him why I was looking in the fridge and he insisted that they all had sugar. Me being of African American descent I'm not surprised to be followed in the store but the man was very casually discriminating against my person as if he had already determined me to be se kind of deviant vagrant that doesn't deserve respect. If you're a person of color or you support the liberation of people's of color I suggest that you DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! Your money would be better spent elsewhere.
