  Sharp Rees-Stealy Pharmacy #6, is one of two "outpatient pharmacies" within the Sharp Memorial Hospital complex. Although both of these pharmacies are used primarily by Sharp Memorial Hospital's outpatients, they can be used by anyone who lives within the San Diego area. The fact that Sharp Memorial Hospital provides two outpatient pharmacies for its patients, designate it as one step above many of the rest of San Diego County's hospitals, as quite a few only have "inpatient pharmacies ;" patients who are given written prescriptions by a hospital doctor CANNOT use an "inpatient pharmacy" to fill any of their written prescriptions.( State and Federal laws prohibit the latter pharmacy designations.). This particular Sharp' s Rees-Stealy Pharmacy is usually very well stocked and they can often obtain " insurance company preauthorization medications" immediately or within a day or two. Their associates are always very quite friendly ,extremely knowledgeable and more than willing to answer any questions that one may have, about the possible side effects of their prescribed medications. Until my residence burned down - last February, 2017 - I utilized their services all the time : Although I managed to save my mother's life - who has dementia - I lost my beloved cat ; he was twenty years old. My two very young sisters discarded me and my younger brother's wife - both of them live in Lakeside - told me that I was never allowed to come over to their house, thus I lived on the streets for about two months, until I was lucky enough to get some help from St.Paul's and The Gary and Mary West Senior Center.( It has taken nearly one year for me - with the majority of my help coming from Senior Center and the management of the hotel where I am staying nowadays - to slowly get back on my feet.). Perhaps, now that it is a new year, things may get better, as I don't see how they could get any worse. My youngest sister took everything that I had left - a lifetime of precious possessions - and by the time that I was able to contact her to put them inside of my own storage unit ( They were in a U-HAUL garage, owned by a Mr. Hann ), everything had either been auctioned off or else thrown away. The story of my possessions, was just like several stories that I saw televised over my cable network, quite a few years ago. As a result,I would never recommend U-HAUL to anyone, especially if I wasn't there to sign a contract. Oh,well? The Sharp Rees-Stealy PHARMACY is open M-F from 08:30hrs.am, to 17:30hrs.pm and closed Saturday's, Sundays and on all holidays.
