Absolutely my single favorite book shop. Second Story is located just off Dupont Circle on P Street. It has a first-rate inventory of new and old books, including many mint condition second hand volumes. I have a large library of books on history and politics, and a not insignificant part of it came from Second Story. I always go here when I am in D.C. The only problem sometimes is carrying everything on the plane back to California. Great place!

Nice little bookstore. I ended up browsing for over an hour and purchased two books. I wish the older books would’ve been more accessible instead of having to search them online and not actually be able to see them in front of me. I understand their reasoning though.

I couldn't have been more excited to see the various types and price ranges of books. There are beautiful locked shelves of rare or old books for purchase. There are also newer books. Found a bargain book that was pretty awesome. ***DONT TALK ON YOUR PHONE WHILE IN THE STORE (per the store clerk).

Great vibe for a book store. The people who work here are very friendly and willing to help you find the perfect book. Also it is within walking distance of the DuPont Metro stop and DuPont circle.

Used Bookstore in the heart of DuPont Circle located on P street. I’m an avid reader of books and miss perusing bookstores in the age of amazon online. The store overall has a great feel and look. This place as a genre for every interest. They even have $1 sidewalk sales on books. If you’re lucky you will find something that is of interest. On another note the prices of some books are a bit high. I even saw a book for $1,400. I’m enthusiastic about prose but not that much to purchase a book for that amount.
