  I'm glad we finally go it right (18 man hours later). I was however disappointed that the training of the service techs does not include the need for them to clean out the dust bunny collections as a standard part of the service. From my time providing such service and from what I have seen with other service and repair techs it is their feeling that the equipment should and must be cleaned and all the dust and dust bunnies removed. From my perspective, this is a failure of management for proper training and encouragement to do thing right.

  The technician, Jerry was great. But the entire experience in scheduling the service call was less than one star. I had originally called to schedule a repair on our Kenmorre Elite Dryer. Even though we have had a service agreement for the entire length of ownership, they could not find it. Once they did, they scheduled a maintenance check, instead of repair. That technician was also vey good. But he could not make the repair. He did note that it appeared that the heating element needed replacement. We also scheduled a duct cleaning, which went very well. When Jerry arrived, he asked if the heating element had been delivered. Our answer was no. Fortunately, he had one on his truck and made the repairs. This whole process took over two weeks, with laundry piling up. We have purchased from Sears for over fifty years, with no problems, either with the products or service. This experience made us re-evaluate future purchases.

  If I could give it less than one star I would. Words can't describe what a terrible experience I have had with Sears. Right now, suffice it to say, I was told by the first tech he couldn't replace both "racks" in the dishwasher because the bottom one had been damaged in shipment. I was told I would NOT be charged for another tech to come once I had the new part. When I re-scheduled to have a tech come back, I was assured by the lady who set up the appointment, I would not be charged. Sure enough, the tech shows up, spent 20 minutes putting in the new lower body rack and told me he would have to charge me yet again. If one can believe, I spent $205 for repairmen to install the racks in a dishwasher. I couldn't attempt to do it myself because I'm a disabled Vet and they came with No Instructions. Oh, did I mention that the two racks cost me over $300. Totally unbelievable and I am one VERY dissatisfied customer...........

  We are very happy with the repairman so these comments do not reflect on him or the job he performed. We were asked about enrolling in the warranty plan three times! When we made the appointment, when the repairman arrived and when he asked us to confirm with the office that the repair was complete. I understand everyone was doing their job but this isn't good customer service. We should only have to answer this question once, not three times!! Please get together and ask this question only once.
