Many moons ago I volunteered at the old MLK location. Nowadays this is my go-to for recycled art supplies. I have almost completely furnished my sewing studio with finds from here. Go often, supplies are limited and are regularly swapped out for new treasures.

Great store, very very affordable pricing for a vast amount of crafting supplies. A very innovative concept for a store, pretty much 100% recycled products, even the bags are recycled! My only complaint is that their organization system was rudementary and haphazard, but it got the job done and I found what I came to get.

Cute craft store that repurposes old craft items. From buttons to picture frames, foam, yarn, embossing powder, paper, and more, this storehas just about any odd or end you could need to finish a project. At the front there are cute little paper packs with craft supplies to make cards, scrapbook pages, a collage, or whatever you can think of. One of the coolest things about Scrap PDX is that they have a ton of school supplies like crayons, pencils, tape, markers, paper, and more. A great place for parents with budding artists or teachers who need to buy school supplies on a budget. Did I mention their prices are amazing? My sister bought a brand new picture frame here for $2 and I got a button to repair a shirt for $0.10. Supplies are all extremely reasonably priced and they also take donations as long as you call ahead.

The best craft store ever!!! Its like a thrift store for craft supplies. They have classes too, my little sister went to a birthday party there and I go there all the time for crafts, house stuff, art supplies. They take donations, everything there is a donation.

A dangerous place for the hoarder of craft supplies - for the most part, amazing prices on just about anything you can use to make art (as well as office supplies). Turnover is high and nothing is guaranteed, so it's not the best place to look for anything specific unless you're patient (I waited months for topo maps after foolishly not getting any when I first saw them), but it's a great place to find unexpected treasures. You can walk out of there with a huge bag of great supplies for $20 - I almost never buy full price stamping ink or stationery anymore. How well a section is sorted depends on volunteer capacity, so it can sometimes be overwhelming/frustrating, but that's really my only problem (besides my own lack of self-control). If this is a shadow of its former self, as some reviewers think, I probably would never have left the old store, because this is still pretty great!
